Web Summit Vancouver 2025

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Uruguay XXI with the support of the Canadian Embassy in Uruguay, Uruguay Innovation Hub and the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI) invite Uruguayan technology-based companies to participate in the first edition of Web Summit Vancouver, to be held May 27-30 in Vancouver, Canada.

Uruguay XXI will support with: 

• Free passes for local companies (limited spaces).
• Alpha Startup Packages for five startups.
• Country stand available as a meeting point and access to promotional materials.
• For startups there are five Alpha Startup Packages available: this modality allows startups to exhibit with a booth during one of the days of the conference with three tickets included.

It also gives access to all conference activities:

• Startups will be included in the startup search profile and the featured startups page of the event website.
• They will have access to a startup success manager to assist with pre-event logistics.
• Have the opportunity to apply for mentor hours.
• Access to Investor Meetings and Masterclasses.  

Alpha Startup Package application requirements: 

• Less than US$ 1 million raised in investment rounds.
• Less than five years old.
• Have a website.
• Logo available in .eps format.
• Must have its own product or technological solution. 
• Consultancies, development agencies, marketing/advertising agencies and public companies will not be accepted. 
• Startups must be their own independent company and not a subsidiary of a larger organization. 

Companies applying for an Alpha Startup Package must go through a review process by the event organizers.  

Participation in WebSummit Vancouver is aligned with Uruguay XXI's strategy for the technology sector, which promotes the country as the #1 Hub for business and innovation in the region and provides an opportunity for local companies looking to learn about trends and expand their business.
