Program "Road to Barcelona"

Uruguay XXI invites Uruguayan startups of industry 4.0, health sciences and mobile and software to apply to the program "Road to Barcelona" organized by Catalonia Trade & Investment. For six months the selected company will work with Catalonia Trade & Investment's ACCIÓ startup team to prepare for access to the European market.

Uruguay XXI will finance the airfare of the selected company.

Barcelona is one of the most dynamic ecosystems in Europe for startups, especially in the field of new technologies. Startups in Catalonia employ 13,800 people. Barcelona is the fifth region in Europe in terms of startups according to several internationally renowned rankings such as the EU-Startups and the Startup Heatmap Europe, among others.

The programme runs from 7 January 2020 to 30 June 2020. It will be three months of market validation (basic program) + three months of follow-up (optional program).

The programme includes:

Free work area in the startup hub.
Introduction to the startup ecosystem in Barcelona.
Tailor-made advice programme validating market and business model.
Participation in networking events.
Access to the 4YFN event and participation in a pitching session.
Participation in the MWC Brokerage event.
