Do you have a fashion design brand and want to enter the U.S. market?

Uruguay XXI invites Uruguayan fashion companies to participate in Coterie New York, one of the most important fashion trade fairs in the United States, this September 22-24, 2024.

Uruguay XXI will support the participation of Uruguayan companies in the fashion industry selected by the fair and apply to be part of the country delegation: Uruguay Collective. The brands will have a joint exhibition space at the Uruguay stand.

It's a unique opportunity to generate contacts and business opportunities in the market, as well as to position the sector in the international market.

Deadline to apply: July 21, 2024

The selected brands will have a collective exhibition space in a country stand, which will be shared by the delegation and will be called Uruguay Collective. 

Important aspects to take into account: 

1. Uruguayan companies from the fashion design sector, legally constituted and with commercial activity in force for at least 18 months, may participate.
2. Companies must have export experience and/or show a clear potential to expand into international markets.
3. Priority will be given to brands that use local raw materials and labor. Additional value will be given to companies that have: female participation in leadership positions, have sustainability programs and are from the interior of the country.
4. Criteria such as diversity and complementarity of styles and export potential will be considered for the formation of the group in coordination with the respective organizers of each event and the Uruguayan Chamber of Design, prioritizing the best performance of the delegation as a whole.
5. The stand will be in the APPAREL - CONTEMPORARY ADVANCE section (same section as in 2023). However, depending on the number of applications received from other areas, the possibility of integrating an additional space in another sector of the fair will be evaluated, for example: accessories, footwear, jewelry, swimwear or denim.

The costs of travel expenses, airfare, internal transfers and lodging will be paid by each company.
