IDB held the first edition of Test & Invest Uruguay Business Summit in Uruguay

Uruguay was the epicenter of conversations on attracting foreign investment, exporting knowledge-based services and entrepreneurship at the Test & Invest Uruguay Business Summit, which took place on November 3-4.

More than 1,000 people from 44 countries arrived in the country to participate in the event in which prominent speakers from the public and private sectors highlighted Uruguay’s favorable conditions as an investment destination and innovation hub in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The event brought together national authorities, local and international leading experts and more than 150 startups that participated in panel discussions and presentations around four strategic sectors in which Uruguay is working to position itself as a regional hub: technology, biotechnology, renewable energies, and the audiovisual sector.

Business meetings, innovation showcase, master classes and pitch competitions were held at the event.
