Bloomberg magazine selected José Ignacio as one of the most exciting destinations to travel to in 2022.
The U.S. publication Bloomberg magazine includes the Uruguayan seaside resort among the 25 most exciting destinations to share with friends and family in 2022. It considers for this edition the recovery from the pandemic, the social management, the opening of activities, safety, acceptance of different anti-COVID vaccines, among others.
"The small and elegant fishing village of Jose Ignacio is popular among the most demanding travelers not only because it is a trendy place to go unnoticed. Its Francis Mallmann restaurants and discreet beachside bars attract a cosmopolitan crowd to stay at boutique bed and breakfasts tucked amid the dunes" narrates the prestigious publication.
It highlights two of the resort's ventures, the Luz culinary inn and the Ayana Inn, which features the first independent Skypace in South America by artist James Turrell. It also highlights the recently inaugurated Atchugarry Museum of Contemporary Art as an artistic and architectural attraction. Other Latin American destinations on the list include Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador and Mexico.
