Investment network creation advances within the framework of APEP

Official material was released highlighting the regional work focused on improving access to capital for startups in member countries within the Alliance for Economic Prosperity in the Americas (APEP) framework.

Uruguay, known for its innovation work, is leading, through its Uruguay Innovation Hub (UIH) program, the creation of the Angel Investors Network of the Alliance of the Americas, with the strategic support of IDB Lab. This network will develop a digital platform and organize events to bring together angel investors from all alliance member countries.

The dissemination material presented highlights the regional commitment to promoting access to capital. It seeks to generate greater prosperity in the alliance’s member countries by leveraging innovation and entrepreneurship as critical tools.

The initiative aims to identify, select, and convene venture capitalists and other investors to develop the best entrepreneurial capabilities in the region, including marginalized and vulnerable communities. This will foster innovation and job creation, driving broad-based, inclusive, and sustainable growth.
