The iconic Graffiti Awards, given in Uruguay each year to the most outstanding local artists, were once again a meeting and celebration point for the Uruguayan music industry. Under the banner of cultural richness and diversity of styles, Uruguay XXI attended and supported the first of the three award ceremonies.

The agency’s Export Promotion Manager, Pablo Pereira, and the Creative Industries specialist, Omaira Rodríguez, presented the award for Best Special Edition to El no viento de la luna—Homenaje a Darnauchans—Artistas Varios / Little Butterfly Records, reinforcing the support for national musical talent and its development at the international level.

In addition, they announced the launch of a playlist that brings together the artists nominated in the Singles categories. This selection reflects the country’s musical diversity and includes songs from pop, rock, tropical, urban, and electronic genres.

The playlist, which has 32 tracks in total, is already available on the Spotify platform. Its reach will be boosted through a digital marketing campaign aimed at the markets of Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Spain, which will help expand the international presence of Uruguayan musicians.

“With this initiative, we seek to generate new export opportunities for Uruguay’s music sector, recognized for the poetics and depth of its lyrics, the uniqueness and quality of its compositions,” said Rodríguez during the ceremony.

The Graffiti Awards, created in 2003, are currently one of the most representative activities of national music; they integrate all musical genres and award Uruguay’s record production every year.
