Uruguay XXI and a delegation of 16 ICT companies are participating in Collision 2024, an event attracting over 40,000 attendees from 140 countries. This year, 950 investors and over 2,000 startups will also participate, making Collision the most significant meeting of the sector outside the United States. Uruguay XXI has supported local tech companies’ participation in the event for several years.

Uruguay XXI’s presence at the Toronto meeting aligns with its strategy to promote the country as a regional business and innovation hub. Here, Uruguay will highlight its advantages as a provider of technological services to regional and global markets.

The official Uruguayan delegation includes Uruguay XXI and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, supported by the Canadian Embassy in Uruguay, the Uruguay Innovation Hub, and the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI).

At Collision 2024, Uruguay will demonstrate the achievements of over a decade of technological advancement, positioning itself as a world-class business center. The country boasts exceptional connectivity and Internet penetration, making it the largest per capita software exporter in Latin America and the fourth largest in absolute terms.

Uruguay is home to over 500 technology companies that provide global solutions. These companies are part of a thriving technological ecosystem with investment opportunities for new business ventures. Uruguay’s local market is ideal for innovating and testing new technologies.
