Uruguayan rower Bruno Cetraro won the bronze medal in the third stage of the Rowing World Cup held in Switzerland. Once again, Uruguayan rowing shows that it is ready for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Felipe Klüver, also Uruguayan, obtained a very similar mark in the previous stage held in Poland and also reached the podium, in addition to reaching the finals in each of the three stages of the World Cup that took place this year. The two bronze medals won are unprecedented for this sport in Uruguay.
"It's something I've been dreaming of for a long time and to be able to make it happen is priceless," Cetraro told La Diaria.
Cetraro and Klüver have the ambition to continue projecting themselves at the best international level. "We are on the right path, we have to want it and go for it," said the medalist to the same media.
Until now, no Uruguayan had ever reached the three finals of a season in the World Cup as Klüver did. Nor had two Uruguayan boats ever reached the same final. The duo that put Uruguay in the top six of the Olympic Games continues its development competing at the highest level, in this case, each one on his own.
