Uruguay XXI presented support system to exporters in Colonia

Uruguay XXI made the presentation "Support to export development and investment attraction" in Colonia. The activity was held on May 30 and was organized in conjunction with the department's Intendancy and was attended by Mayor Carlos Moreira.

The activity took place in the Intendance Hall of the Municipality and was carried out with the purpose of promoting the export culture and the key programs in the promotion of productive investments of Uruguay XXI.

Uruguay XXI has a support system for companies that start on the export route, or that seek to increase and diversify their exports. The Institute provides technical and economic support to companies to participate in international fairs, coordinates commercial visits abroad, as well as reverse missions of buyers who visit the country. In addition, it organizes workshops to access markets and issues related to foreign trade.

In the activity in the Municipality, it was also informed about the actions carried out by the Institute in order to promote the country as a destination for productive investments and the tools with which it has to advise potential investors.

The program Global Export Services of Uruguay XXI was also presented, with financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with the objective of increasing foreign direct investment, exports and employment in the global export services sector, specifically in the areas of information technology, corporate services, pharmaceutical and health, and architecture and engineering.

Participants also shared strategies to promote the positioning of the Country Image, through the country brand Uruguay Natural, managed by the Institute, and the advantages for national companies of being partners of the Brand.

Uruguay XXI is making a report on investment opportunities in Colonia, which will include data on the characteristics of the department, major exporting companies and investment opportunities.

During the day, representatives of Uruguay XXI held a meeting with members of the Rural Agricultural Cooperative of the Department of Colonia (CRADECO) and the Federated Agricultural Cooperatives (CAF), as well as the Industrial Park of Juan Lacaze and the Uruguayan Association of Dairy MSME (Aupyl) to those who presented the tools and services for export companies and the main events of 2017.
