To strengthen commercial ties and open new doors for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector, Uruguay XXI led an exploratory trade mission to Bogota in collaboration with the Embassy of Uruguay in Colombia. This three-day event highlighted the capabilities of the Uruguayan sector and sought to establish significant connections with Colombian companies and institutions.
The Uruguayan delegation consisted of entrepreneurs aiming to promote their services and seek strategic partners in the Colombian market. Customized B2B meetings were organized between companies from both countries during the visit, providing an ideal platform to explore concrete business opportunities. This personalized approach allowed the companies to identify synergies and discuss potential collaboration projects.
One of the key moments of the mission was the Binational Roundtable at the Bogota Chamber of Commerce. This meeting brought together leading institutions such as ProColombia, Invest in Bogota, and the Chamber’s Construction Cluster. During the session, Colombia’s advantages for foreign companies and the opportunities offered by the AEC sector in the region were presented.
Uruguay XXI presented Uruguay’s strengths as a regional business hub, highlighting the quality of its services and its focus on sustainability and technological innovation. For its part, the Uruguayan Chamber of Architecture and Engineering Services (CUSAI) made an institutional presentation that reinforced the reputation of the Uruguayan sector as a strategic partner.
Uruguay: a reliable ally in the AEC sector
Uruguay’s Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector is characterized by highly trained professionals who deliver high-quality international projects. This commitment to excellence has positioned Uruguay as a benchmark in demanding markets such as the United States and Canada.
Among its advantages are the competitive costs that allow it to offer high-quality services at affordable prices, multilingual talent with training and experience in various construction techniques, a favorable time zone for real-time collaboration with companies in North America, leadership in BIM technology, which guarantees the adoption of the highest international standards, and a connectivity infrastructure with the best Internet speed in Latin America.
The trade visit to Colombia reaffirms Uruguay XXI’s commitment to promoting the internationalization of Uruguayan companies and positioning the country as a world-class service provider. The business people who participated in this trade mission returned with new perspectives and contacts that could become strategic alliances in the future.
