The US technology company Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG), which specializes in IT solutions for managing human resources and improving the quality of life at work, landed in Uruguay in 2022 with a center of excellence in research and development for the region and has just inaugurated its offices in Montevideo.
Uruguay will be the company’s technological hub for South America, UKG said at the inauguration event of its offices, located in the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU). Its authorities pointed out that they chose the country based on its excellent positioning, talent, legal security, and institutional framework.
Uruguayan Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Omar Paganini, as well as the company’s director in Uruguay, Chiara Toscani, and the vice presidents of Engineering, Charlie Ward, Yevgeniy Goyfman, and Heather Peck, attend the event.
Paganini welcomed the company’s installation in the country and affirmed that they could count on the Uruguayan government to continue growing.
“UKG is a company that generates tools to make the work environment more productive so that work teams are more synergistic, creative, find alternatives, are more diverse and inclusive. I believe that this points to two things, to Uruguay as potential and to people at the center of technology”, the minister added.
UKG has 75 years of experience in the technology industry and offices in Canada, Mexico, Australia, France, and England. It has over 15,000 employees worldwide and over 70,000 clients in 150 countries.
Uruguay will be the company’s technological hub for all of South America. Its authorities pointed out that they chose the country on its excellent positioning in the world, talent, legal security, and institutional framework.
